Stereopolis is a name that came to my mind back in 2013 when I was looking for a brand name for fullrange loudspeakers I was about to launch. However I felt somehow that this name has much more wider scope.

Two Greek words are at the origin: ‘stereo’ – in this case refers to stereo sound reproduction or stereo playback system and ‘pólis’ – a city.

As much as I love music in myriad of facets as well as many ways to listen to it from live performance to various audio systems, I dreamed about Stereopolis as of a city with many different districts, where you can enjoy your preferred music, in your preferred way in a dedicated venues.

Italians say “Il Mondo è Bello Perchè è Vario” – ‘the world is beautiful because it is diverse’,

some like tea some like coffee, some like Steinway some like Kawai …

...and sometimes we like different things when in different moods…

Let's try to create such a place first in a digital space.

Lets' start Stereopolis as a platform to offer selected audio components or systems that we particularly like and we would be happy to have one.

Some will be available in many countries, some locally.

Beginning with Closer Acoustics brand – the name I eventually chose for the speakers and electronics designed for them. is the owner of the Closer Acoustics brand.
