OGY is the first bookshelf loudspeaker by Closer Acoustics. It delivers remarkably natural, detailed sound with a captivating 3D soundstage. Designed for smaller rooms, it also performs beautifully in larger spaces when carefully positioned, creating an intimate and immersive musical experience.

Perfect for genres rich in acoustic instruments, such as classical or jazz, OGY reveals the true character of music. Its sound is engaging and fatigue-free, allowing for hours of listening. Thanks to its compact form and sonic precision, it also excels as a nearfield monitor — for example, placed just behind a desk.

This is a Nearly New pair – an open-box return or gently handled demo unit in excellent condition. The speakers have been thoroughly inspected and show no functional defects. They offer full sonic performance and visual appeal at a more accessible price. A unique chance to own a pair of OGY loudspeakers with a story — and without compromise.

The Enclosure

OGY features a carefully engineered transmission line cabinet that preserves driver efficiency and ensures clean, natural bass response. The enclosure is crafted from birch plywood using a sandwich-box construction, with external panels finished in acrylic stone. This material adds mass and helps suppress unwanted vibrations, contributing to clarity and control.

The Driver

At its heart lies the EMS LB5 fullrange driver (10 cm), designed by French audio legend Michel Fertin. Handmade in France by Katy Fertin EMS Speaker, it delivers astonishing speed and detail, making even the finest nuances in recordings come alive.
